About Us
Welcome to Khandallah Playgroup! We are glad you are here.
Our playgroup is designed for babies and young children to explore, learn, and grow through play-based activities. Our sessions provide a nurturing space for parents/caregivers to play alongside their children.
Khandallah Playgroup is run entirely by parents who generously volunteer their time to keep our service up and running and create a safe, welcoming environment for all members.
​We have volunteers on our committee who manage Khandallah Playgroup on an administrative level and volunteer supervisors who oversee the general running of playgroup sessions.

Committee Meetings
The committee meet on the second Tuesday of every month, 7.15pm at Khandallah Playgroup. All members are welcome to attend. Our meeting dates for the year are:

Volunteer for Us
We need you! We are always in need of members to help out. If you have an hour to spare each month, we would love to hear from you. We currently have two types of volunteers - committee members and supervisors. BONUS: Members who volunteer for these roles have their term fees waived AND drinks and nibbles are provided at committee meetings.
Committee Members
There are various specific roles within the committee along with general member roles. We value any time you can contribute and are happy to adjust tasks to align with your availability.
Supervisors
Each weekday session requires a supervisor to assist with the general running of the session including welcoming new members and answering any questions about our playgroup. You do not have to attend the entire session to be a supervisor.
History
Khandallah Playgroup was founded in the 1940s and has been run by volunteers ever since. It continues to be an integral part of the community and well-loved facility in the heart of the Khandallah Village.

"It has been a wonderful place to meet other families with young children. Our daughter loves both the indoor and outdoor spaces - the ride-on toys and swings in particular. For caregivers, it is a cozy space to relax in knowing the kids can play freely in a safe environment.
